Sandy Colòn Peltyn was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she attended the Inter-American University, majoring in Humanities with a minor in Music. Shortly after college, Sandy was signed by Perez Productions as a singer and headlined her music around the globe, including Las Vegas. She also hosted and produced two award winning television shows. Settling in Las Vegas in 1983 she worked with her late husband, Roger Peltyn, in his firm Martin & Peltyn Structural Engineers as VP in charge of Marketing and Public Relations. The firm was responsible for the design of many Las Vegas projects including Wynn Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Venetian and Paris Hotels. She worked there for over 20 years and was partially responsible for their profitable success. Her experience and success in marketing and public relations led her to another successful professional career with DeSimone Consulting Engineers as VP of Business Development/Marketing, Political Affairs and Community Affairs and then as a member of the Board of Directors for Independent Nevada Doctors, a Doctor’s Medical Malpractice Insurance Company. Subsequently Sandy was appointed to the St. Rose-Dignity Health Executive Board and Foundation Board and most recently served on the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners.
